Shots (the jingle bell remix)
BTOB, gen (+ Ilhoon/Hyunsik), PG-13, 900 words
BTOB holiday party for
ppyeo. (
advent calendar)
BTOB's first annual "Alleviate Donggeun's Homesickness but Mostly An Excuse to Get Drunk" Christmas party begins as it has been declared that all BTOB parties must begin- with an incredibly awful Shots jam session. What they lack in English speaking skills (even Donggeun, who fumbles over the curse words with a look that says "Forgive me, God, it's just the lyrics") they make up for in enthusiasm. Even Ilhoon cracks a smile.
Honorary shots are poured while their managers look the other way. Jihoon shuffles out of his cave to take one before disappearing again. Changsub, through a hacking cough because he'd choked on his soju, demands that he wave goodbye to the camera. He gets the middle finger in response.
"Just to clarify," Eunkwang says, wobbling over to Changsub. He's already tipsy after one shot. Eunkwang has the tolerance of a three-year-old girl, though Changsub can't say he's ever seen a toddler drunk. "This is only for our personal collection, right?"
"When you put it like that it sounds like we're making porn," Minhyuk says. He wraps an arm around Eunkwang's midsection, resting his head on Eunkwang's shoulder. At the mention of porn, Sungjae lets out a holler.
Changsub turns the camera on himself. "What you're about to see is graphic and meant for adults only. Viewer discretion is advised."
After the first round of shots, there is a round of gingerbread cookies that they made this afternoon. There are a few normal looking ones, prepared by Minhyuk before he got distracted and let the rest of the group take over the icing duties. The rest have a variety of penises and angry faces drawn on them. There is one Hyunah gingerbread cookie that Changsub quickly claims as his own, because it's the closest he'll ever come to eating Hyunah out. Sungjae takes a penis shaped gingerbread cookie. No one is surprised.
"This one is yours," Minhyuk says, presenting Donggeun with a gingerbread cookie. It's got round Harry Potter glasses and buck teeth, clearly intended to be Donggeun. Donggeun takes it, blushing. He pulls everyone in for a group hug, even Changsub, who gives up the filming for a moment to enjoy the hug. Donggeun would be content to stay here all night hugging on people, but Eunkwang pulls back, ordering them all to the bedroom.
They've limited the music to one room for the sake of Jihoon, who has a Music Core performance in the morning. Minhyuk spent a week preparing a playlist for the occasion, mostly consisting of Big Bang and American music. Minhyuk is in the process of getting low (and not in the limbo sense, but in the rap music video sense where Changsub isn't sure where to look) when Hyunsik and Ilhoon enter the room, pausing to observe the sight.
"Oh hey, mistletoe," Donggeun says, giggling.
They both look up and there is indeed a sprig of mistletoe that neither of them noticed hanging from the doorframe. Ilhoon prepares to make a run for it, but Hyunsik catches him on the wrist, pulling him back into the doorway. He's practiced dipping Ilhoon so much that it takes no effort at all for Hyunsik to drop Ilhoon and plant a kiss on him. Changsub makes sure he's holding the camera steady as he zooms in on Hyunsik slipping Ilhoon the tongue, while Ilhoon's fingers dig desperately into Hyunsik's shoulders.
"Now that's what I call a kiss," Eunkwang says from behind Changsub. There is an air of pride in his voice; his boys are all grown-up.
Long after the socially acceptable time for mistletoe kisses between friends has passed, Hyunsik finally rights Ilhoon. He won't look at Hyunsik in the eye as he walks away, patting his middle part. Hyunsik, on the other hand, is grinning wickedly at the camera. Changsub sticks his hand out for a high five. "Nice," he tells Hyunsik.
Back in the kitchen, Ilhoon prepares another round of shots, possibly to drown out the memory of Hyunsik's kiss. Changsub doesn't think that he should be that freaked out considering that they've fake kissed two dozen times or more for that stage, but he doesn't question it. Or, at least, he won't question it until they start their round of Kings later.
(Later, Changsub tries, "Never have I ever kissed Hyunsik." Ilhoon retaliates with, "Never have I ever mooned Gina sunbaenim." Changsub glowers as he takes his shot.)
When Changsub wakes up the next morning, he distinctly remembers Ilhoon's second round of shots turning into a third and a fourth and then maybe a fifth. He also realizes that he's sleeping on top of Eunkwang and that Sungjae's elbow is in his face. Changsub blinks, trying to make sense of his surroundings.
They're all piled onto Eunkwang's futon. Changsub is laying across Minhyuk and Eunkwang, who are curled together like the blissful newlyweds they pretend to be. Sungjae is half hanging on top of him and half on top of Donggeun, sleeping at Minhyuk's feet. Ilhoon and Hyunsik are laying together on the floor, heads tipped together. Did they make up after that game of Kings? Changsub can't be sure. His brain might still be asleep.
"Guys," he tries to say. His throat feels like old crusted socks at the bottom of his practice bag. "Guys, let's never do this again."

CRIES THIS IS PROBABLY THE LITERAL OPPOSITE OF WHAT YOU WANTED. I'm sorry.
