[And before long, there's a tall troll walking towards the ranch and his old hive, accompanied by a three chocobo entourage. A dark green chocobo, smaller than the other two, trots sedately beside him, the absolute picture of avian dignity. The other two, which might be twins except for the little saddle and leg weights one is wearing, charge ahead, kwehing and warking and otherwise making a ruckus, tackling each other and rolling in the dirt, disturbing everyone and everything around them.]
[Once he gets within sight of the ranch, Equius calls out.]
[Somewhere in the midst of all those feathery bodies. Seriously, seventeen chocobo, what the hell. Eventually, however, Lea manages to wiggle out, waving happily all the while.]
Glad ya could make it! So, uh...
[Leaning against the fence to the pen, he watches the two, er, energetic chicks.]
...On the bright side, it's a good thing they're energetic! That's a healthy sign.
[He knows 'cuz of his learnings. Also Stein's crazy detailed notes. With a grunt, Lea pulls himself up over the fence and hops down on the other side.]
[He glares at the blue chick that isn't wearing a saddle.]
That one isn't even mine. He belongs to that vile, repulsive sea-dweller, who's too morose and mopey to take care of him right now, so he shifted all the responsiblity onto me. Again.
[Never mind that he sort of volunteered for the task, and that for all his complaining about Dualscar, he rather likes the little blight, if only because he makes Darkleer so happy.]
Well, when y'do mention him, how about we avoid calling him vile or repulsive? 'Cuz he's just as much as my friend as you are, and I'm not gonna put up with that kinda bull. Especially since he's been through a lot lately.
Anyway.
[Kneeling down besides the two fighting chicks, Lea doesn't hesitate to reach right into the thick of the little spat and try to separate the rowdy birds.]
You two need somethin' to do with all that energy. Jeez.
lol, have a weird dream, do tags, amirite?stayb100ponyboySeptember 2 2011, 06:54:34 UTC
I don't understand why it's such a problem. I'm certain he talks about me the same way.
[Don't you understand troll romance, Lea? Jeesh...]
They're always like this when they're together. Constantly running around, playing, getting into mischief. I had to put them outside so they would stop bothering Pounce.
[Hearing her name, the polite chocobo (who has been watching the wrestling brothers with disdain) flutters her wings and rubs her head against Equius' calf.]
Coherency is for the smart! Or those with common sense. oAoprominence_glowSeptember 2 2011, 07:09:34 UTC
An' I'll tell him off if he ever does it around me. S'not the point.
[Holding them as far away from each other as he can, Lea stands up again. Hmmmm, super energetic chicks who bicker with each other, however fondly. HOW TO SOLVE...]
Do you take them running or out for walks or anything?
Darkleer and I play fetch in the backyard sometimes.
[Okay, he hasn't been playing with him that often lately... there's been a lot of feelings and emotions and stuff swirling around, and the chick hasn't been getting his usual exercise regiment.]
It's worse when that other chocobo is around. He brings out the worst in Darkleer.
[Thinking, Lea taps his foot and glances back to his own flock. Some of 'em had gotten still when Equius appeared, but they've gone back to their usual routine.]
You said Pounce doesn't really like to mess with these two often? That means he's probably just excited to have someone who's interested in playing as much as he is.
Still doesn't mean we can let 'em run around doin' whatever they want, of course. Mind if I take 'em into the pen with the others?
She'll play with Darkleer when it's just the two of them, but when this scraggly thing is about [gestures at Dualscar] he and Darkleer play too rough, and she either hides or goes somewhere high enough that they can't reach her.
[See, Lea? ALL DUALSCAR'S FAULT! He is a bad influence.]
[Whoops, sorry, food. Finishing, finishing!]
I mean, sure, I'm game. You still with Gamzee?
