Haven't had a realy update in awhile and since it's only 12am and I've got oodles of time, I figured that I'd update.
My summer has been going really well I have to say. I can't believe that I've already been home for over a month. In ways it feels longer and in others it hasn't.
My life has pretty much been centered around my friends, work, and concerts. I don't know what I would do without my friends. They are my life and they are the ones that I owe everything to. Last night a pact was made and never shall that be broken because we are all better than the things that have happened to us and I know that we are stronger and smarter. I know that I will never ever leave one of you ladies behind for ANYTHING. Work is work. I work like 5 days a week which is sweet, but then again because everyone is working this summer, it's hard for everyone to get together which kind of sucks at times. But then there are those moments when everything is absolutely worth it. For those moments I will look back upon and smile and cry those happy tears and know that all that we've gone through has been worth it just to have those moments.
Obviously it's quite a bit late to talk about the benefit show and everything that I would say has already pretty much been said in Meg's lj, but I guess for my own sake and for it's awesomeness, I will give a brief synopsis. The show went awesomely except for the power outage, the crowd all going onstage, and Monty's being a disappointment. The Kansas guys definitely made up for that though. Evan from Huxley calling me made my life and then 9 gorgeous awesome guys camped outside of my house and peed in my woods. Then I had those same guys all come into my house the following morning and they ate and watched tv with me and then they all got naked in my shower. Best moment of my life hands down and although I had only been home for a little less than a month at that time, I know that that will be by far the best moments of my summer. I actually talked to Chance online today and then Matt for a little bit. Chance said that on their tour, Cranston was still their best show and that they'll definitely be back. I hope that they bring Brett as well....
Then there's The Killers and beautiful Brandon Flowers and his awesome sunglasses and then him taking them off and me wanting to run onto the stage and do him then and there. Because of that concert though, I am now going to lose my hearing 10 years earlier than I was supposed to. Head Automatica was awesome. The lead singer is the funniest man alive and the guitarist needs to gain some weight because he makes me nervous. I heart Providence nightclubs. Next up is Anberlin and Acceptance at the Living Room on July 8th. Super psyched.
Yesterday was Allie's Bat Mitzvah. It was amazing. "My man" was there. Wow I love you ladies and saying that EVERY time he walked by. Yesterday morning was my first time at temple. It was interesting. I had always wanted to go just to see what it was like and I'm glad that I did. I obviously understood probably about 10% of it but it was all good. I was so proud of Allie. The party was awesome. Everyone looked so beautiful in their dresses. I have to say that I enjoyed getting dolled up last night. Me and my 5 bestest friends in the whole wide world got to sing and dance and be awesome together. I even got a sexy charicature and she gave me big boobs. I love that woman. I limboed with the 13 year olds and did pretty damn well if I do say so myself. Highlight of the night was my meeting my future husband. I told my parents today that I would someday be marrying a Jewish man and I think that they're ok with it. HAHA. But it's the truth though....
You better hold up your part of the deal now....
