What a year....or was it?

Dec 31, 2004 13:01

2004 was a crazy year. So much stuff happened....a lot of it was bad, but at the same time, so much of it was good. I have made lifelong friends and figured out those who will stand by me through just about anything. I have left behind a world that I have known all of my life and entered a totally new one. While this world may be a bubble within itself, it is still a totally different world with all new people and all new experiences.

So much
Melissa Xie inspired me to do this. So thanks for that.
While I don't know if I'll remember just as much as you did, here goes:
January: The year started off badly with me on the phone crying with Jia at 3:45 in the morning. Good thing that that incident didn't preview what was to come.***Winter Ball with Paul....my first date to a Winter Ball. The strap of my dress broke while spinning around with Liz. Bickfords after. Paul being an awesome date.
February: Divine Intervention concert the same night as the Battle of the Bands at West. Went with Drew, Rob, and Miranda. Never have I driven so fast and gotten from Providence to my neighborhood so fast. Should I be proud of that? Made it just as Monty's was setting up. Awesome night I have to say.***I think that this was the month that I got Meg into going to East hockey games. Yay for the really ugly shirtless kid from West!
March: I've always hated March because of the lacking of days off entirely. So very long month.***March Madness and the rest is history. I totally miss high school dances.***Science Olympiad and awesome Hot Juans.***Cloves.
April: I became legal and my dad wouldn't let me have a real birthday party. Entertained a few at Wright's Farm.***FLORIDA without a doubt the best experience of my life. Those memories will remain with me forever. Getting a Senior Prom date from the way home from I believe the second night of Magic Kingdom. Pictures up the ying yang to remind me of everything.
May: Honors night and winning two scholarships.***Road Trip to Six Flags with Jen, Meg, Jenn, and Singleton. James Bond moves. Tailgating. Saying sexy things to Steve Conard on the way home. Soft serve all the way. My two favorite rides being shut down.***Whale Watch.
June: Last day of high school.***Finding out that I didn't have to take Tanner's exam and almost falling on the floor. Only had to take Cushman's "exam" with the answer of 2004.***Me and Jenn going to see Mean Girls while everyone else was still in school.***Senior Prom. Awesome date and awesome time. Glitter. My strap breaking again. Crying with Jenn and me just plain crying. 12 people sleeping in a tent. Marco scaring the shit out of everyone.***Gaspee Parade and having like 3 hours of sleep before it because Senior Prom was the night before. Those damn hills.***Graduation and me becoming best friends with Uncle Cracker after about 4 hours. Uncle Cracker and Derek comforting me because I was sobbing uncontrollably from the graduation song until I left to go home. Switching caps and then switching back. Maris' graduation after party.***Making everyone cry with my letters.***Orientation at Quinnipiac and missing everyone's graduation parties that weekend.***My last full blown recital with my rockin solo that I almost threw up before going on stage for. Thanks for the 13 or so people that went and cheered me on.***Beginning of an awesome summer.
July: My graduation party. The pictures that I have of people writing on my driveway.***Tent reunion at Robbie's with only 4 of us ending up in the tent and everyone else scattered in 2 different rooms in Robbie's house.***Starting to miss band phase I.
August: My hanging with Kyle Pirolli practically every day and my finally going into his awesome house where we watched the Finals DVD.***Melissa's birthday party and everyone coming in to visit me at work after band rehearsal.***Helping out Mr. C. at some of those rehearsals.***Saying goodbye to a BFFL leaving for college. Thankfully the only one the I had to say goodbye to before I left.***Chun's house.***Six Flags with Kyle, Meg, Jenn, and Jake. Going on Superman first. Ride buddies for life. Going on practically every ride. Powdered sugar fight. Taking 3 hours to get home. Steve Conard is my hero. Turn right Turn left. Almost dying twice on the way home. Jenn laying in the trunk.***BRU show and signing the Chucks.***Saying goodbye to everyone the day before I left in the Stadium parking lot on a day of band camp. Crying at the sight of the first person coming to hug me goodbye. Having all of the those people come just to say goodbye. Hugging Eric for a half hour and then having the cops show up and start circling the parking lot meaning that we better leave or we'll get arrested.***Moving into college. Leaving everything and everyone behind and starting a new life. Meeting Carly and Maria....sisters for life.***First day of classes.
September: Coming home for the first time and going to the football game with Meg and being greeted by the entire band yelling my name. Never have I felt more loved.***Going to the Blackstone Millville competition with my awesome sign. Seeing it from a different perspective.
