Happy anniversaries!
It's been a year since:
1) I got ferocious colored streaks in my hair. Tonight I'm rebleaching and going back to red.
2) OMG!!!
I really did nothing today, except drive 15 miles to find out that Java Dave's was closed. But it wasn't bad...I got to enjoy some great music. And nothing bad happened until 5 minutes ago, when I spilled my giant glass of McAlister's tea all over the floor. Ugh. I mean, I drink a lot, but one of those glasses of tea lasts me at least an hour. I mean, I can make some iced tea, but it's not the same, dammit!
Great news, though! Not only has my Drawing II class transferred at SCAD, but the advisers took me out of Speech & Public Speaking and put me in Life Drawing I! I finally get to take figure drawing, which I've wanted to do forever.
And...my mom was saying how we probably wouldn't leave for Sav until after Labor Day, and that we needed to think about a time to go down to Houston to visit family before I leave. I don't see why that's "necessary" since I'm only going to be gone from the middle of September until late November, and then I'll be right back here for a month. BUT, it gives me plenty of time to be out of here before having to focus on school. Plus, I think we'll work in a trip to Austin (YAY!). I think how it'll work is that I'll just put in my two weeks notice a little earlier than expected so I'll get to enjoy some time to myself before the road trip. I can barely fathom not working. That's another reason I'm looking forward to Savannah. I'll be going to school exclusively. Just like I was at UCO. And even when I had a full courseload, I had plenty of downtime. Hopefully that'll be the case on the coast, but I'll have stuff I can do. Too much downtime and...well...I spend it all on the computer, usually perusing fat-pie.com.
