Merlin
The Map of Honor by
destina, Merlin/Arthur, R. Arthur sustains a mortal wound in battle, and makes preparations to accept his fate. Merlin has other ideas. Hurt/Comfort, slow, visually vivid and intense, just how I like my magic reveals. The Merlin in this story is hopelessly devoted to Arthur but not naive about it, a trait I like in my fictional characters (ie Mazikeen) and I appreciate the symbolism of the - physical - journey mirroring the characters' emotional one. A little stilted at times, but that's more a matter of taste than a criticism that affects anyone outside of me and my dog. (I talk to my dog when reading, shut up.)

Bliss by
enednoviel Merlin/Arthur, PG-13. What it says on the tin: Arthur kissing Merlin and Merlin being blissed out. Lovely.
The Kiss by
Atkrituml on DA, Merlin/Arthur, G. *_* I love traditional art and the dreamy, soft style and brushstrokes fit the scene depicted. (Thank you

Merlin/Arthur by nightwalker, G, Merlin/Arthur. Love the style and the look on Merlin's face.

merlin_holidays, Merlin/Arthur, NC-17, established relationship. Didn't work for me at all. A dystopia to me involves a lot of world building because I need a concrete vision of Society Gone Wrong (think the classics Brave New World, 1984, The Handmaid's Tale, The Time Machine etc.), ~dystopias~ a la "magic is forbidden and the government controls beer" where the exploration of the world through the characters' eyes is not the main goal aren't dystopias to me. The second choice in setting that threw me out of the story a few times is the established relationship and Arthur being a rebel without seeing that journey. The Arthur in canon needed a long, long time to stand up to his father so having this conformist (whether out of immaturity, cowardice or respect for Uther) Arthur be a rebel didn't ring true to me. (Also seeing that journey is one of my greatest story!kinks, ever.)
