Tiny Cracks
tiny cracks
have begun to reveal themselves
in what was once
our porcelain skin
and we powder our noses
and rub the grime off the mirror
to see ourselves
in ways
we wish the rest of the world would
or should I say
tiny cracks
have begun to reveal themselves
as gaping holes
in a once romantic storyline
and we traverse
one cautious step at a time
lest we step on one
and break somebodies back
but I daresay

and although it pains me
it is
the truth
