Choosing the city you want to live in for the next

eight years is as important as choosing the MD/PhD program. It's that season again when many of my friends are applying to medical school. I think I'm going to keep the number of schools low when the time comes.

Some of these MD/PhD programs are amazing. The Tri-Institutional MD/PhD program in NYC is a collaboration between Weill Cornell, Rockefeller, and Sloan-Kettering. The Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology is also pretty sweet, too. Then there's also UCSF, UDubb, and Stanford, which are top biomedical research facilities. So, if I am lucky enough to even have a choice, what would it be? To be able to study in New York City for 8 years with its allure of Tony-awarded Broadway shows, unmatched collections of arts, worldly restaurants, and the efficient subway system would be quite an experience.
