Ruth: I’ve always preferred cats.
Claire: Mom, you should totally get a cat. Why do you deny yourself so much?
Ruth: I always had children.
Claire: We should all just let ourselves have what we want in life. As long as we’re not like greedy imperialists. I mean, it’s your birthday and you just had this awful thing happen. You so deserve to be happy.

Ruth: Claire, will you help me clear?
