The whole idea of Soulfighters was one Changmin found ridiculous.
INSANITY
Soulfighters. Two men who expressed their love for each other through a mutual fondness for causing each other pain. A lot of pain. The kind of dull, broad kind of pain that left his arm; or whatever else, aching for hours on end, because Jaejoong didn't hold punches.
Changmin had never wanted him to, because it made it ten times easier to return the hit with no fear, just as hard; if not harder.
No holding back.
Months without Jaejoong there with him equated to months of dealing with an aching in his chest that felt like a phantom fist had plowed right through him without leaving even a bruise.
The whole idea of Soulfighters was one Changmin found ridiculous; they were only putting another name to their sadomasochism, truthfully. But, ridiculously enough...
He was going insane.
So insane, that when the day came that he saw Jaejoong again, he did nothing more than pull him into a tight embrace as the older man just smiled and squeezed tighter before letting go and without warning, landing a hit directly over his heart.
Caught between a laugh and a grimace, instinct said he should return it.
So, he did. No holding back.
And, when the pain faded from Jaejoong's punch, it took the old aching with it.
