i wish going to san antonio was relaxing because i really want to stop being on a never-ending diet, get more than 2 hours of sleep a night, and stop having to worry about money. no such luck i'm afraid.
in other news my resume will practically increase by a third this coming semester. in the past week i've been hired for two seemingly great jobs. the first is an intern for the product development department at Theory, working specifically with textiles. this is a great line and company that is extremely successful, and large without being some huge corporate america headache. cool. the second is for an up and coming line. here i will work one day a week in the studio with the garments. at first i'll just be doing finishing, dying buttons, fabric etc. and some customization. then after i've gotten better i will begin draping, doing sketches for the line etc. awesome. and then the other day a week i will do random stuff- workign with clients, shipping, etc. AND, most importantly, i will get paid at this job. this is rare and very important, particularly since i have absolutely no money.
my schedule will be as follows:
monday: 9am-1pm Theory, 2pm-10pm Class
tuesday: 9am-12pm Class, 1pm- 7 pm Theory
wednesday: 9 am-2 pm Theory, 3 pm- 9pm Class
thursday: 9 am- 7 pm Charlette Brody
friday: 9 am- 7 pm Charlette Brody
saturday & sunday: homework and Waris ( i am keeping this job and will work with him on the weekends as well as evenings when i am free)
if i can just wrap up this portfolio (impossible!) i think i feel a lot less stressed and tense. as a back up plan, if someone in texas could send me an earl abel's application, i'd appreciate it.
