So today I went to go get my car washed because my car hadn't been washed in two months. It's a nice and sunny day and I felt good about spending an absurd amount of money to make my car look clean (damn you, materialism). As I walked over to my car which had just been dried, I noticed that the day wasn't so sunny anymore. In fact, the sun was nowhere to be seen because the sky was now covered in thick dark grey clouds. Clouds like that could only mean one thing.. and it always tends to happen right after you get your car washed. So I jump in and speed down the freeway, admiring how clean the windows and interior were while also keeping an eye on the sky. The second I get in the garage, it starts raining. ooh yeah. i win.
...Okay, so a carwash on the verge of being ruined isn't exactly dramatic.
Life in general is pretty different than what it was a few months ago. I feel like an adult now - and legally, I have been for the past year - but I didn't really feel like one until recently. Now, I have to balance school, work, volunteering, family, and friends. I still need to straighten a few priorities because I know a few things are not balanced at all. But I know it'll all work out. The holidays are coming up which means spirits are high and commercialism is at it's most brutal point.
