So, this is kind of weird and I don't know whether I've missed the entire point or not, or perhaps I'm just writing around it. Either way. This may be a bit different than what most are saying.

And I think Sam's wanting Ruby to come has less to do with him trusting her than it does with his needing to use her. It's a practicality thing, just like choking Dean, I think was a practicality thing - she's basically a suit of walking blood for him at this point and I think that's why he asked Dean to come. Because Ruby's not his hunting partner and he'd want Dean's input, but he can't just go in there without a weapon again. Not with what he lost the first time.
I'm kind of...I know this whole thing sounds really weighed towards Sam's side, and that's mostly because even if he's an addict, Sam still has free reign over whatever power he has- Dean's sold his soul for all intents and purposes. So, Sam's like this in between thing - his powers aren't controlled by demons because the YED's dead and they're not controlled by angels either, he's the thing in between, I think he's kind of earth.
That said, yeah, I think it's a monumentally stupid idea to trust Ruby because she's probably leading him straight into a trap. And it's sort of funny to me because I bet before he died, she'd say she was sorry and mean it, but only as much as Ruby can mean anything. So it's more like a trust Sam himself more than I trust Dean, but I don't think Dean's the bad guy here. I just think the angels have a rude awakening for him, maybe worse than Sam's will be, maybe less bad, who knows.
