USF: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Normally I don't post on current events in entertainment media unless it directly affects me. However I've just received the following notification from Universal Studios, and felt it worth a post if only to document my excitement.

to Debut in 2009 - Fans to be immersed in the Adventures of
the World's Most Popular Wizard
ORLANDO, Fla (May 31, 2007) - Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and Universal Orlando Resort are partnering to create the world's first fully immersive Harry Potter themed environment based on the bestselling books by J.K. Rowling and blockbuster feature films from Warner Bros. Envisioned as a 'theme park within a theme park' and titled 'The Wirzarding World of Harry Potter,' the new environment will become part of the experience within Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park at Universal Orlando Resort.
Inspired by J.K Rowling's compelling stories and characters ~ and faithful to the visual landscapes of the films~"

Judging by the concept art in the gallery, it looks like guests will enter through Hogsmead, passing the Train and a Quidditch Pitch before arriving at Hogwarts (built in severely forced perspective). I think they're even including the Forbidden Forest!
I remember crossing paths with Disney Cast members who were allowed to visit Islands of Adventurebefore it's official opening. The general concensus was 'Disney's in big trouble,' because IOA had so much of the cool stuff that Disney just couldn't use. Now Islands of Adventure is going to have its own castle (well a second one technically) from one of the biggest young adult franchises ever... one that they passed on I might add.
Forgive me if this is old news... I no longer subscribe to the Leaky Cauldron Pottercast or any such thing.
Not much is brewing otherwise... Life is good, The Lady is amazing and Bugaboo is behaving more like a real cat. We're still looking for apartments, work and the Question to Life, the Universe and Everything.
