My main fear isn't so much the actual going up there as it is the knowledge of my own clumsiness, and the suspicion that I would fall over, step between the beams, and put a hole through the ceiling of my parents' bedroom.

our attic-hole is like a vertical door, which makes it all the harder to get out of (you can't lower yourself properly) BUT you can soothe your soul by rolling around in the like... 140 beanie babies I spent my youth collecting(Oh, you best believe I have beanie buddies, too.) and then playing some Bed Bugs, Spirograph, looking through my microscope, playing with my toy post office and many other tasks available with the toys of a 90's nerd.
