my sister is my hero
Kalyn always complains that I never write about her, so I promised her I would do an entry all about her. She asked for it to be public. This is it.
Kalyn Paige Bagley is my baby sister. I was 4 years old when she was born and at first I didn't like her much because she cried and kept me awake and she would take my things. I called her "IMPO" which is a derivitive of "IMP" which I didn't know meant 'demon'; I thought it just refered to some one small and annoying.
The night before she turned three, she ran into a barbed wire fence and had to get stitches in her cheek and it was really scary. My dad took her the emergency room while my mom and I went home and watched stand up comedy and wrapped her presents. We couldn't find any tape so we had to use all my new fancy girly stickers that I got for Christmas just a month before. I was annoyed, but I figured it was fair enough since she ended up with 7 stitches or so. The next day, we found some tape, which was not as funny as it sounds. I remember she got a Little Mermaid calculator.
In kindergarden, she was best friends with a girl named Jackie Grewe and they had a tumultous dramatic friendship and were often NOT bestfriends. One day, they were playing in the sandbox at the playground at school and Kalyn was making what I am sure was an architecturally magnificent sandcastle. So of course Jackie knocked it over. Kalyn retaliated not by crying, as her big sister would, but rather she socked Jackie in the face because Jackie TOTALLY SUCKED and deserved it. The teacher saw the whole thing and agreed.
She likes nachos, Clay Aiken, lime green.
She doesn't like Nsync, Barney, or the beach (but she used to love the first two; we have an AMAZING picture of her with a bootleg Barney that came to my school).
When I'm home, we eat popcorn & other types of junkfood, play Battleship & card games, watch movies & the Simpsons, and shop & dress alike.
Kalyn is a pretty awesome kid even though she's 15 now which is really weird. I think that if you look at it by seniority, she's my #1 best friend because I've known her longer than all my other friends. She's beautiful and smart and has an amazing sense of humor and I am really lucky to have such an amazing little blonde girl as my baby sister. She never ceases to impress me.
