To The Students and Other Rebellious Youth of Pine Bush High School
Rebellion is a joke.

To which no one can apply
A forceful punchline
Because those behind the front line
Has no education worth more than a dime.

Forewarned and adorned
By the rest of the general public
They got your message
And they plan to do nothing about it.

Ignorance is key to what will bring you all down
You claim the loss of rights and other things that prevent your sleep
But what we lost was privilege
We didn't lose rights, we're still allowed to speak
It's just useless now
We're all just helping the mix holding the stirrer
The only person to blame now is not our leader
But the people we see in our mirrors.

REBELLION IS A JOKE!!!
I think a lot of people who are protesting need somewhere for themselves to feel like they're a part of something. You're not fighting a good cause. You're fighting for the survival of ignorance and the disrespect that plagues us as a generation. We did not lose rights. We lost privileges. And that's all they were. An over night trip, a dance, a talent show, a senior lounge... we are all lucky to have some of the things that we've had. It's ridiculous to fight for it. Some people don't even get a senior trip or even have a stupid senior lounge. We took things for granted and then we're punished for it. Then we come up with an idea thinking rebelling and protesting will give us the respect we're looking for? We must give first, to truly receive something. A little consideration can go a long way. If you wanna fight for something right, fight for a cure for AIDs, not to keep your senior lounge open so you can talk to a friend. You can talk to all the friends you want at lunch.

P.S.
I'd like to hand this message out on pieces of paper. Help me fight the rebellion? Let me know, I think it would be interesting to have a counter group. I'll supply you with copies, all you have to do is hand out. Just comment.
