::Prince on a White Horse from the Land of the Morning Freshness. Part 3::

Time to finish this book because really, even I’m a bit tired of kanji at this point xDD

- How to get a guy to like you

In general act cute and like someone that needs protection (‘cause we all remember that Koreans are macho and are ready to defend the Lady of the Castle. Ow, wait, that’s a different story. Oops!) Some tips:

1) order a hot drink and cradle a cup with both palms
2) on a way home after drinking grab his sleeve (if he is wearing Western-style clothes ← I have no idea why this is specified o_O) or bag strap when he puts a bag on his shoulder

- Some things that are good to know before you come to Korea: food&drink edition

1) Samgyeopsal has to be cut by a man, so don’t try to do it yourself
2) If someone pours you a drink, hold a cup in your right hand and steady it with the left
3) girls pour drinks only for their relatives and friends (!!). If you do it for other men, you might get judged by others (and thought by them to be a prostitute and who wants that, right?)
4) never fill the glass when it’s partially filled (!!). Wait until it’s empty

- things that are still popular in Korea but are dead in Japan since the 80s: couples edition

1) having same hairstyle as your BF/GF
2) having things with same logo
3) having same clothes
4) having same things

- Men have to manly and girls have to girly! (c)

This was the main question of a survey done among high-school students in Korea and Japan. And this is how they answered:

Japan: “totally agree” or “somehow agree”
Boys/Girls = 75,66% / 66,6%

Korea: “totally agree” or “somehow agree”
Boys/Girls = 81,8% / 59,3%

Conclusion: Japanese girls have a better chance to find a manly man in Korea than in Japan (good luck, girls!)

- Sex and dating

One of the main questions ever is always “is sleeping with him on a first date ok or should I wait for third-fourth one?”. Korean magazine Cosmopolitan Men tried to figure out what is the right answer to this question from a male perspective. They have asked 500 men in their 20s-30s “When is the right time to have sex with a girl you are dating?” and got the following:

1) after a first date: 11%
2) after 2-5 dates: 41%
3) after 6-9 dates: 19%
4) after 10 or more dates: 29%

Also, in addition to this: after sex Japanese men roll over on the other side of the bed and fall asleep (job well done, time to sleep) as opposed to Koreans that expect cuddling and girl to be calling them “Oppa~”.

- Appendix: where to find Korean guys in Tokyo and Seoul

Seoul: M2 club (#1 in number of cool boys having fun there and size-wise; VIP-rooms also available), Eden club (#1 in beautiful men/beautiful women ration; club which is often visited by celebs)

Tokyo (near Shin Okubo station):

1) Cafe and Karaoke-bar “Boyfriend”
Open since Dec.22, 2011 and providing such a service as All-you-can-drink&All-you-can-sign for only 2000 yen.

2) Cafe and Bar “Triple K”
You can choose 1 type of sweet stuff (out of 4 available) + all-you-can-add toppings+all-you-can-drink for only 1000 yen.
In addition, every Friday after 1pm there are lectures on “Interesting Korean” for only 300 yen (additional)

3) Hand-care salon “Mashri”

...and we are finally done! YES!

Also, be horrified!
