I'm in bed. Sam is snoring next to me and Sativa is asleep on my feet. Tomorrow is our 10th anniversary. So, ten years ago today, I had no idea I'd be where and who I am today.
In those ten years, I've decided what I want to be when I grow up. I survived living with a teenager. I learned more Spanish and some Chinese. I went back to school and got a Master's degree. I've created work I'm proud of that has had international reach. I've loved selflessly and completely. I've laughed and cried and even yelled some. But, I think being with Sam has helped guide me toward my true self.
Next year, I hope to get back to using my camera more. I want Arthur's book (with my cover and illustrations) to do well. I want to find a job that I can stick with long term now that we're not moving all the time. I want to save money and pay my student loans.
