We are all wounded. No one who has been on this earth for any length of time doesn't have some extent of scarring and damage. I have more inner peace and serenity, calmness of emotion, and cohesion of mind and spirit today than I have had in months--something I have been desperately seeking. I received it from two wounded people as surprise gifts today. One happened during a counseling session with a current resident, one during a phone call from a former resident who said something incredible. I can't go into details, you understand, but both instances caused that current of electricity to start at my toes and go all the way to my scalp and resonate into my heart and fingertips. That current, that sensation, that tells you that you are connected to all things. I feel it still. I know it in my heart and soul. I have spent months in despair and alienation and silence. Today is something much different. Yes, we are all wounded. But we are all healers.
