(no subject)
i've decided this journal is rather out-dated
too much written about feelings that involve the past
it's hard to live in the present of certain things, when the only thing positive that can keep you going about a certain situation are things from the past, because the presence lacks those things
and i'm sick of looking back at how it once was...because everything else in my life revolves around how it is now and how it's going to be
so why revert with one, single, aspect? i shouldn't.
this was probably the best trip to michigan i could have asked for
it's hard to believe it was a year since the last time i was there - and honestly, not one thing has changed
(except two of my best friends got married)
- detroit and the magic stick: still the same
- had a fun trip to cedar point, that almost cost kenny 80 bucks to basically avoid the rain, and i think we rode more carnival rides than rollercoasters thanks to the thunderstorms, but it was still fun to go, so thanks guys!
- had to get one typical bar night in at the 8ball - complete with drama, thank god, not mine.
- the rehearsal dinner was fun, and the salmon was good! it gave everyone the opportunity to re-bond and it was actually really great
- the girlie sleepover was fun, complete with beer and french onion dip
- getting hair and makeup done
- the wedding itself was really fun - the girls got to drink champagne in the limo on the way there and everyone got along soooo well. laura catching the bouquet and chris with the garter - i think that was classic, and of course, anticipated haha.
i realized at the wedding - we're all sorta somewhere different than we were a year ago, and i think it's really great that everyone can work through whatever it was that was part of the past a year ago and still have an amazing time together, hugs and kisses and tears were exchanged but it was a really amazing experience - i love you guys.
so anyways, katie and i got back to boston last night and dropped crap off at my house and went to eat, and of course, because michigan has managed to make me sick, like it always seems to!, i deliriously and stupidly locked myself out of the apartment. and jordan was in chicago and my landlords in NJ so that worked out great. ummm...i have a million things to do in the next two days, including getting over whatever sickness this is i have, so i can go home wednesday and avoid my stalker on the ferry.
im going to start a new livejournal, because i kinda like writing in here when im bored or i just want to share something - and im going to want to post pictures and share stuff about my summer in ireland, ill post the new name or something.
anyways, i think that's it.
