Matthew 9:37
"The harvest is so great, but the workers are so few."
I got home from Urban Immersion, which is a mission project in Detroit. It was AMAZING! God was so there. I guess I never realized the great need. I met some amazing people. I have a bunch of new friends. I have never been on a mission trip before, it really broke my heart.
I met this lady named Laverne. She was at a shelter we served at and she was so happy, but what really got me is that she isn't even Christian. I'm unsure of where her happiness came from. She had the most beautiful smile and disposition. I'm unaware if she used drugs or alcohol, I don't think she did unlike many of the people we met at this particular shelter. I'm just spilling over with joy, I got so much more than I gave. The Lord is indescribably amazing.
My life is changing so much, thanks to the awesome (that's for you Kenny) Lord. I'm so happy my friend Josh is coming home from Iraq, everytime I think of him being over there I cry because I'm so afraid. He is out of combat, but now I pray for his safe return.
