(no subject)
Well, this weekend that I was fearing so much finally arrived, not quite as painful as it could have been, granted, but still with some rough spots...
This was the weekend where her parents were to meet mine. Gaby's Bridal Shower. Now, as it turned out, my father got extremely sick and couldn't make it, so it was just my mom and Amanda, my sister-in-law. Ouch. If you could ever get a twosome primed for embarrassing moments...
It's fat too much to go into here, and I am WAY too tired to type it all anyways, but I can say that though I was fortunate to escape the most of it (no boys allowed at the shower...so I drove around the OC for 4 hours.)I did find out, after the fact, about some moments that will go down in my own personal Hall Of Shame.
Thankfully, Monday was much better...saw King King whilst waiting for Gaby to get off of work (Best Actor Oscar goes to: KOng, for being the most creepily emotive CGI character EVER.)
Then, when Gaby got off of work, we went and had a nice dinner, did some window shopping, and then saw Brokeback Mountain, which was as good as I had heard...(glad to know Hulk didn't ruin yer career Ang!)
Then we went back to her house and watched the Daily Show and she made me lunch to take to work today :>
I am a lucky man.
