Couldn't sleep. So I wrote.
The swift green flew across the room into the ground. Shattering against the wind she sat silently. Everything slipped past her and paved the road following the signs. Wrist covered in black, silver covered in red. Holes covered her so deep, so deep you could see right through her if you leaned in close enough. No one ever did though, the only bondage she needed was a strip of black with a stripe of pink. She steered the wheel in a haze and aftershock. The white stripes past her by like angels kissing her tears to sleep. She remembered the nights her mother used to kiss her forehead and tell her the angels would watch over her. The tone of her mothers voice when she never said “I love you.” The gray faded into her mind. She followed the signs, ecstasy was soon to follow. She let the green lead her down to her halo. She clasped her life into her fists. Her mind debating what to do with it. Life was such odd thing, recklessness was its virtue and love was its sin. She had passed her brown paper bag stage. Followed every direction the book had given her and it got her no where. No where but in between the pit of hate. Her knuckles shone white as the angels kissed her blood, they flew by with such speed now she couldn’t see a thing. The wind caressed her cheeks as she pushed the black harder against the sand in her eyes. She let the shade take her over as she pushed closer to her release. The white angels that once guided her straight lead her astray and she fell headstrong into the arms of destiny. With one last angelic mock she whispered “Don’t forget to breathe...”
