wooo. first part was really good. i love the descriptions of veronica working at this mall, all the cynicism showing through. and yay, logan showing up and looking for her? though the chic he was with kind of just disappeared, no complaints from here.

i did not see the deer coming out in front of the car at all, and my heart stopped. but then lilly appeared and made it all better. man i love her. but not creepy keith. anyway time for the next part. :)

Though this is sadly v. late, I command you to forgive me since this comment is going to be teh most awesome thing EVAH. ;-)

I love how you draw the reader in from the very first moment, with small, but important details: Snow whirled around her, speckling her blonde hair with white.

Well, okay, it wasn't actual snow. It was Mall at Millennium Springs approved bits of white plastic that fell from the three story Santa Land Toy Shop and Photo Stop. Only, after a month of recycling the same bits, the “snow” was now mixed with the dirt the masses left behind.

Veronica stood, a backdrop of crimson and chartreuse spiraling upward toward the skylights. Before her, people were lined up to meet Santa after his break to “feed the reindeer.” The very same Santa that had just tried to feel her up in his workshop only moments prior. Her skin crawled at the thought causing the evergreen tights to itch her legs even more. To top it off, the white puff from her jaunty hat refused to stay out of the lens.This does more to set the scene of the ( ... )
