Come On Now, Sugar

I've been talking about this wee 'spam for awhile, I figured it's about time I got around to putting it up...as I hate the Interwebs, and I was halfway through "The Parting of the Ways" from Doctor Who when a storm blustered up and ate my stream! I've almost got it back, but while I wait, I share!

A small picspam of one prettified cap from each episode of season one with one quote from that episode that struck me.

Ah, Neptune! It was a character in its own right... and this scene right here went a long way toward characterizing it for us. The heckling hoard against one poor guy stuck to a flagpole. Damn that pole's seen more action than anything at The Seventh Veil. Maybe it moonlights.

Lamb and Keith in the same room was always genius. I know "Silence of the Lamb" isn't at the top of anyone's favorite list, but it truly rocked for all the bitter snark we got. "Credit Where Credit's Due" was only the tip of the cold, cold iceberg.

That line... oh, Veronica. Really tugs at the ol' heartstrings, right? This is one of the few times we see her break down. Too bad she picked Troy to show her tears to.

This episode was hard to pick a cap for. Some of those flashbacks were brilliant... but the show is about Veronica. Who Veronica was, and who she is now. Lilly saw strapless red satin in pink!Veronica... we're glad she got around to finally wearing it ;)

I think this is my favorite. Poor V - alone again, naturally, and bringing the badass snark... and that outfit? Smokin'. What to wear when getting revenge on a bastard? One word: that!

I'll admit it: I was late to the Logan Love Train. It wasn't until this moment that I was finally on board, shoving past the conductor, and sounding the damn whistle. I know the quote was aimed at Veronica... but it's just... so apt.

They totally stole the show away in this episode - it was another one where it was hard to pick a cap. I almost went with their almost-kiss that sent the slash pens a'flying face-off -- but this... this was camaraderie. And Logan's grammar skillz. *flutter*

Veronica just looks so gobsmacked here. She can hardly believe it...and yet Meg is right. Veronica does have friends. And I think that scares her a little lot.

This one turned out... oddly. I think I pressed a button I didn't mean to, but then I went 'Ooh!' so I kept it. And I love Keith's line ;)

I almost had the actual big theatre hands cap that matched the quote... but the 'shipper in me had to get one where Veronica was sort of smiling up at him. *sigh* Oh, when my fangirly heart was new and undamaged.

Mac! Mac!! (That's the reaction I had to last weeks Big Love for all of you who watch, by the way!) I just love this line... and it's so true. I wonder if there's some fic out there where she and V do launch that website and do dominate boys the world? *scratches head* Anyone?

This... is just classic. And, Lord, thank God Lamb has hair. He just looks so... befuddled ;)

This is the only one I could manage to fit Duncan into... but only 'cause Logan is tearing my heart to little bitty pieces with his "Don't Stop Believin'" attitude... and that hopeful little grin.

Ick.. Abel still gives me the wiggins. Veronica's face here... it's so devastating. I really thought... really thought Jake was going to turn out to be her dad. I'm so glad I'm not a good guesser!

Unless your heart is made of stone and you eat kittens for breakfast, there is no way this scene didn't affect you. Oh, Logan! Our woobie is born!

This is another one that turned out...different. But just check out Lianne. She's so frickin' distant. What a horrid bitch. Wonder whatever happened to her? The continuity gnomes must have dragged her off with Duncan, and Aaron's murder, Backup version 1 (and 2 for that matter!), and all the Shelley Pomroys. They live in a constant cycle where it's sometimes springtime for Madison/Mac's birthday and sometimes a 'rite of fall.'

Again with the dumbfounded face... but here, she's on the cusp of realizing just how cool unfair can be.

THE KISS! Really, what the Hell else happened in this episode? Oh, right, mulleted JTT. Dude, that's the suck. But... KISS! For moe raving over Logan kisses, go visit his lesson in the Art of Kissing (as filtered through my brain). *cough*pimp*cough*

That never doesn't make me laugh. I can't even eat a Pop Tart without thinking of Logan (not necessarily a bad thing... though, sometimes I choke.) "Oh, ye of the sickle wit."

This one, to me, is so pretty. I know.. stuff happens in the episode. But, really, mostly... it's all about being shallow pretty on a boat.

Sadness. I thought it was important to put the picture of post-rape Veronica with a quote of her hiding her pain embracing it in a snarky way. She's our Veronica, and we love her. Mostly.

And, the end. Sure, I almost went with the cliffie... but Lilly was who made season one season one -- the best show on television. Period. So she got the last cap.

I made this into my screensaver (the generic way, by using the 'My Pictures Slideshow' option), so if you want the caps for your own eeevil purposes, here they are, all archived in a neat package.

And as a bonus (heh), here's a shiny new wallpaper!
