Nothing is wrong with a happy ending, Merc. I was looking out for the intended recipient of the fic. I know that inthevast likes angsty fic, and the ending when I first saw it wasn't exactly what she's used to writing.

I'm sorry for encouraging the angst, but if it helps, I'm working on something fluffy right now (or trying at least.)

I guess if the intended recipient likes angst, it was perfect. I'm just almost at the end of my rope and about to give up on fic altogether. I was just so happy to see an L/V pre-series fic, and it was all hot and delicious, and the the ending happened. I can handle some angst, if the ending is at least hopeful. It doesn't have to be fluffy rainbows and kittens. I just can't handle full-out angst like this. Thanks for humoring me.
