but I've never seen them fing."
Okay... this is completely random gobbledygook. So, be forewarned!
Hee!! Remember my funk cloud? Totally lifted! But, of course, that's partially due to my awesome night last night, the fact that I survived a long-ass shift today (and got some writing done!!), and that I'm off tomorrow!! YAY!
Last night, I went to one of those Japanese Hibachi steak places... and the chef totally threw a shrimp into my mouth... I know! I was a little embarrassed and I sort of felt like a seagull, but still! My big mouth is totally useful! The chef only had four fingers on his right hand... the man had no thumb and he still managed all those crazy tricks!! I can barely operate a fork, and I've got all my fingers. Oh... and I then proceeded to drink way too much, but I was trying to be the party since it was my friend Anna's birthday and everyone else left early. So I had to party for everyone. We pwn at nudie PhotoHunt, by the way.
And then I had to be at work at 10 am. Until 10 pm. Heh. But, still, fun!
So, here's some silly to make you all say: "What's Jess on? Can I get some?"
HAPPY PRESIDENT'S DAY!
Babe Lincoln is so my type! Okay... the Marfan's Syndrome is a little odd, but Jonathan Larson had that, and he was a genius, too. So, it's all good! Yay for people with Marfan's!
I nicked that li'l baby from th ever-awesome
afrocurl.

bookjamprincess conned me into this tagged me... so, here goes!
I chose StarCrossdSparrow as my handle for FF.net. Then when some awesome people (
lapdogdesign and
flinkkamingo3) informed me that I could write fanfic and post it on LiveJournal, I came over and saw how much prettier it was! So I just had to get an account here. Thus, the shortened and underscored version: starxd_sparrow.
The name itself comes from two places. 'Star Cross'd' is in reference to Romeo & Juliet. While not my favorite Shakespearean play (that'd be Othello), I love Romeo's monologue more than life itself. Oh, and star crossed sounded better with sparrow than anything I could've snagged from Othello... sparrow_the_moor? bwtb_sparrow? HA! Neither are quite me. And if you can translate bwtb, my hat's off to you!
Scary Sparrow is actually a nickname my friends gave me back in the day. It was neither clever nor did it have a very long shelf life, but sometimes they'll still call me sparrow or spare for old time's sake. The reason for the nickname is sort of strange / funny. I'm afraid of birds because birds hate me. Like, seriously... Hate! When I was four, ducks pulled me by my coat into a frozen pond. I wasn't in any danger... I mean, they were only flipping ducks! But, still, I was all cold and wet and I made my aunt (who stood by and watched the ducks take me... then laughed at me for crying! I was four! What did she expect?) come into the water and get me.
Fast forward eight years. Father's Day 1995. I was feeding my mother's (grr) parakeet, Lemon, fresh celery. I had to climb on a small step ladder to get to the bastard's cage... and in the blink of an eye, the evil little thing flew out if his cage and knocked me off the ladder! I'm not kidding! (I'm just exaggerating. I fell off the ladder because I'm an idiot.) All I remember is being airborne, then I was on the floor, cradling my arm (it was broken!) and bleeding from this ginormous gash in my thigh (I still have a six inch scar!)... and I look up to see flipping Lemon, glaring down at my with his stupid little parakeet eyes. He died a few years later one day when I was home sick from school. I wasn't sad.
And finally, fast forward to this past year. Twice over the summer, a bird got into my house through my screens (two different windows in my bedroom!). And you know what they say about them being a bad omen? Well, my pap (who lived with me) died in August! See... effing birds! They're just out to eff my day up, I swear.
So there... long answer to a short question :D
Oh... and I tag... YOU!!! Do it. You know you want to!
OH!! And
MI.net invited me to be a real member! Yay!! If you're totally interested (i.e. completely bored), go and see the character bios they let me play with (and ignore the little eff ups on Mel's. Heh. It was sort of last minute... and we're working on fixing it):
Tina 'Veronica, right?' Callas and
Mel 'Fired versus Dead' Stoltz. They're not as super fabulous as, say,
Logan's or
Vinnie's, but they're okay.
Plus, they let me play in the
Details (I only helped with the last five),
Rount Table Review, as well as the
Cultural References (I got to do the one on Dick's HH / Silence of the Lambs reference!) and
Who's Who Bios.
Any MI.netters out there... thanks for letting me be part of the team. I'm sure I'll calm down a little bit... but I'm honestly just ecstatic *takes a chill pill*
So... thank you all who gave me hugs and pats on the head in the past! The love helped muchly!
I ♥ you, f'list!
