Day 01: Introduce yourself. List your likes and dislikes.
Hello! My name is Jessica. I'm twenty-eight, presently unemployed, and happily living with my boyfriend and girlfriend in Arizona. Well, I'm happy about them, but not so much about unemployment or Arizona, but I'll deal. I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, and hold a rather useless, but pretty, degree in English Literature. I've been a movie theatre projectionist and supervisor, an intern at Walt Disney World, and an administrative nobody. I'm a published poet (in one of those 'if your teacher sends in a poem you've written, we'll send your parents a copy of a paperback book with them poem in it for the low, low price of $19.95 plus tax!' anthologies), a 'freelance editor' (aka beta reader), and occasional talentless hack fanfiction writer.
I like to read (though of late, I don't do it enough), write (again - I don't do it enough), and play Fallout (which I do far too much). I like potatoes prepared any way, yummy beer (see: Leinenkugel's [Sunset Wheat ftw], Yuengling, and Session Lager), naps, and movies generally geared toward fourteen year-old boys. I also like to bake and eat what I've baked. I enjoy yoga (though I really need to do it more than, say, twice a week thanks to the baking). I like puppies and ice cream (because inside, I will always be a six-year-old girl). I enjoy those terrible A&E shows like Intervention and Hoarders and most everything on the Food Network. Also, I like turtles. (Actually, I'm rather indifferent toward turtles, unless they are trained in ninjistsu and enjoy pepperoni pizzas, but it had to be said/linked.)
I don't like the state of the world we live in today, television commercials, or beets (they make me cough). I'm not a fan of snow (huzzah desert!) or radio disc jockeys. I don't like blueberries or spiders. Or birds (fuck you, birds, you know what you've done). Also, I don't like wet socks or cleavage sweat (boo desert!). I dislike drivers in Phoenix (and by extension, driving in Phoenix). I dislike pretty much all the same things this guy hates. Also, thanks to the first two things mentioned in this list, I also dislike Christmas and most of Texas (but not you, cool Texans!).

Tomorrow, I have another interview. That'll make number five, so I hope this is the one I finally get because I hate not having anything to contribute. Also, since my car threw a strut yesterday (which, wow, that was fun), I'm gonna need some scrath because I'm pretty sure kvancelot and Larry won't let me pay with nature's credit card.
