Happy solstice and Merry Christmas this will probably be my last post before Christmas so to all my LJ friends Merry Christmas.

I think we're as ready as will ever be for Christmas at this point. Although of course I still have some last-minute shopping to do. Publicly and forever I will say this is the carrying on my dad's last-minute shopping tradition. But the simple truth is I just haven't had time to do it. With the 6 to 8 inches of snow at least according to the last forecast that we could get Thursday and Friday it could make our usual Christmas Eve plans and Christmas Day plans a bit tentative but somehow will make it to Pekin for Angie's side of the family  and to my  mom’s house for mine. Although to be perfectly honest I am dreading some of the gifts Willow will be getting this year. Today I know she'll be getting at least one keyboard and three different drums. Needless to say we will be keeping a rather large supply of Advil on hand. The one thing I am looking forward to with the snow is getting out Wednesday and Thursday in making a couple snowmen with Willow. For some reason I have a feeling I'll be channeling my Calvin, humor in this and might freak out the neighbors a little bit. Although I have to say this won't be the first or the last time that's happened. Well for those of you who are traveling in the upcoming days I wish you safe journey and for those of you standard home I wish you many happy returns.
