The Koopa Troopas 1 Year Anniversary was awesome last night... I got to see a bunch of my friends from UH that I hadn't seen in forever (like
feathereddreams, who lives right by my job now, no less), met some new ones and those from the board that I hadn't met in real life yet, had some good Chinese food, played 360 Scene It: Lights, Camera, Action, and a card game called Mafia which was uber-fun, but I had to leave early since I had to be at work this morning. I would have pics for you all, but I was a doof last night and it completely slipped my mind that I brought my camera. I'll probably just snipe some from the KT board and post them later. It's always great times when I get to hang with them.
Ever had one of those days where you had too much sleep? Yeah, today was one of those days, not to mention that Sunday is my most hated day of work (the generally unfriendly cheap customers come out on Sunday, I've found), so it was a very long day today. Long and at points, aggravating. We got the new limited edition red 360 controllers in, and I want one badly.
I've found a new anime that I'm totally fanboying over now: Rosario + Vampire. Its 30-second story: Tsukune signs up for school, accidentally goes to wrong school, wrong school is a school for monsters called Youkai that disguise themselves as human, lucks upon making friends with a hot girl who's actually a vampire Youkai with a badass side, other female Youkai step in and they fall for him too. That's all I know so far. :P
Just like Gainax, Gonzo is normally very hit or miss with me, but I couldn't help but be very intrigued at the fact that Gonzo made an ecchi-ish Harem anime. Me being the Harem Anime Expert[tm], I jumped at the chance to watch it, and it's great. While it's nowhere near the ecchi level of Girls Bravo or even Magikano, the fact that Gonzo did this makes it even better for me. But this show already has two instant wins for me beyond it being a great show.
1) Their class's teacher is a Cat-Girl Youkai.
2) One of the girls that falls for Tsukune is a rather-shapely succubus. A Succubus. WIN.
Yeah, I really hope Funimation gets this. I could see, with the right talent, this show being handled by them really well. Here's to hoping! Be back later with more.
Oh yeah, here's the video to my current favorite song (and album) that I mentioned a few posts ago, Outlines' "Just a Little Lovin'". The video's not all that, but the song is fantastic.
