Right now I am in the WTF R U DOIN camp but I might warm up to the idea the more I think about it. IDK.

My problem with it is that my initial reaction is "oh, that could actually possibly work with the way Moff does things!" but then I think "this would never work with the way RTD did things," and then I get kind of angsty about What Is To Become Of My Show.

LOL Yes I feel you. It means more and more emphasis on plotty WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT!!! stuff and probably less emphasis on big character arcs and I dunno, I love me some big character arcs.

on the other hand, I DID really enjoy speculating and reading theories during series 5 and reading all the meta/theories became my way of interacting with the s5 fandom (versus fic and shipping for s1-s4). The downside to that was that once Big Bang aired I had no real way or need to keep interacting with s5 fandom -- this will mean that in the "downtime" between s6.1 and s6.2 there'll still be stuff to keep me interested.

Yeah, I long for intense character development. Ahaha. But maybe there will be both! We'll see!

The thing is I can really get behind cliffhangers. Like, they're cool! It's fun to speculate with fandom! It's fun to have something to wonder about! I just don't know how I feel about that meshing with all the things I love about Who. BUT I DO NOT KNOW. I'm trying not to judge too harshly. It's early yet. Maybe it will be fabulous!
