I learned a while back that < (meaning 'less than') is HTML for <, and > (meaning 'greater than') is HTML for >. It means that I can write:

"Use and to make italics."

Again, thank you!

I've been wondering how people did this, as I'd seen the < > show in posts and was somewhat confused.

It's so simple when you know, but almost impossible to guess. One of these days, all of the info will get to all of us. But I won't hold my breath. ;-)

Sorry to post this here, but I can't find what I'm looking for on the rest of your Journal.

Making someone else's lj appear in the same style as your own? I thought the code was http://starwatcher307.livejournal.com/280331.htmlstyle=mine

but it's not working.

Yes, it's amazing how one character can make or break a link.

Thanks for filling in; I was out for the afternoon.

Jokan is right; you need that ?

html?style=mine shows people their own journal style

html?style=light shows a basic journal, black on white

I also wondered how to do that, so I've memoried it away. (In the LJ world, memoried is a word, isn't it?) :)

Well, if 'friend' can be a verb, I don't see why we can't do the same to 'memory'.

And, if you haven't seen, I have more HTML and LJ tip-posts on this page. Feel free to memory, save, pass on to other people; my information is to share.
