How To Format a Table

Someone (Hi, Sarah!) asked how I made the grid for my titles in my starwatcher_fic LJ. That is made with a "simple" (ha!) table. I struggle with them; uniquewonders had to whip my Links Post into shape; bless her. You're welcome. And, for what we usually want to do, the basics are probably enough.
The food was good, but the music was much too loud, despite repeated requests for them to turn it down. :-( The boss wasn't around to ride herd on them. I try to remember to take my foam earplugs, but I didn't need them last week, and forgot this. It's a real bummer -- that place is my favorite hangout for writing, but they got the radio fixed a while ago (after a year of blessed quiet), and I'm being chased away.
