men on horseback ride up to the drive-in window at McDonald's.
Here Snowmachines and Four-wheelers.

I can see that. To my mind, it doesn't matter what kind of vehicle. The horses are unusual enough, even in this area, to stand out. Although I'd love to be able to ride places, rather than drive.

Very wild and woolly... though I regularly have to round up escaped sheep, so I may beat you in the woolly stakes. *g*

I agree about some peoples' ideas of how to keep animals enclosed - for over a year there were two ponies kept in a tiny paddock at the end of our lane... and the barrier between them and freedom was orange nylon string. They were so impressed. Not.

I'd say so, yes. *g*

Oh, yeah. The most trouble I've ever had with equines came from ponies. The problem is, too many people treat ponies like toys instead of horses, and that way lies trouble, every time. The animals aren't properly trained, and it shows.

"Un-exotic" adventures and all, I think you are SO lucky that you have open spaces and animals all over the place. Here it's very urbanised with very little rural areas. :(

How well I know it! That's why I keep the horses even though I don't hardly ever ride, and they're just big pets. They are my excuse to keep living out here where I have elbow room, and I absolutely love it. We have urban areas, too, but I prefer to escape whenever possible. *g*
