I agree with Danny - they'll use the first amendment to cover their crimes. What's annoying is that we've gotten so hell-bent on protecting the rights of these criminals that they aren't charged with things that they should be - like treason.
Or, on the other hand, people may say that treason is outdated. Unfortunately for our country, PATRIOTISM seems to be outdated. I was watching the "Jaywalking" segment on Jay Leno last night, and they went to Universal Studios and asked questions about our country (if they could sing the national anthem, who wrote it, who was the first person to sign the Declaration of Independence, how many colonies there were, who landed at Plymouth Rock, etc... those sorts of questions). The US History teacher couldn't name who wrote the national anthem, and half of the people they interviewed couldn't sing it. Now... I know that it's edited. But... EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM. You go to any other country in the world and they will proudly and loudly sing their national anthem. It's like our society has been so jaded OR I would go so far as to say spoiled, that they take our government and all of our rights and liberties for granted. One day, when we don't have them anymore, thanks to treasonous bastards like the seven you mentioned, people will become aware of how good they have it that they're able to vote, and to live in a country that is as great as ours. We, as a whole in our society, have forgotten what it's like to be an American, with all the rights, liberties, and privileges that we have. And that, my friend, is the saddest part of it all.
