getting out of bed was SO HARD this morning. I wish I could have called in sick. So like, I would kick my covers off, then roll over on top of them because the top of the covers was all cold from being blown on by the air conditioning, then I would return to my previous spot which had gained the same effect from the ac that the covers had. oh but there were people there. not enough to fill every bar stool though. which I'm sure is your definition of "no people there" as well, however these people seemed worth mentioning. I was totally people watching when I was pretending to watch the Colts/Dolphins game untilt he game actually became interesting. I hope this doesn't sound judgemental, because I'm not, but... there's something curious about a sparse monday night drinkin' crowd. Like there were three people who were just PARTYING. And there was a point when there was a table of punk rock kids minding their own business. And there were two dudes with a laptop showing internet stuff to the bar tender. And there was a preppy dude and a girl who i assumed was his date that arrived from that night's rockets game. And the dude kept rubbing and touching at his nose after coming back from the bathroom. I mean, it could have been allergies, I suppose. And the bouncer guy was pretty nice and funny. There was some girl who came up there just to kick it with him. The whole time I was there she didn't go inside to order a drink or anything, but they were good conversation when we went outside for a smoke. Oh yeah, their covered outdoors section is closed via the city. apparently there's some kind of permit issue. But yeah! I totally dig that bar without people in it. Or with just the right mix of people in it, whatever. I like it even more when I ahve control of the jukebox. I mean, I was just sitting there, looking around, like, really observing, and it just made sense. Like, I get that bar now, so now I can appreciate it for what it is.
