Jesus... have mercy on us...
This morning I woke up on my couch... in a warm house, with blankets and pillows laying next to me... and I looked at my computer, my guitar, my tv and dvd player... pictures that I have on my door... etc. I had breakfast, jumped in my car and headed to work. I complained about the gas prices and put in a six hour day, just like most of the rest of you...
There are thousands of people in the New Orleans area that didn't have A SINGLE ONE of those things happen today. You better be so ridiculously thankful for all that you have right now... because, as we've seen... it can be taken away in a heart beat. I decided today, that whenever anyone complains about the price of gas, I'm going to say... "you know what, at least you still have a car, and a house, and food to eat and water to drink... rather than complain about it taking $40 to fill up your car with gas, you should be praying for all those people down south that have had their lives ruined by the hurricane and you need to start being more thankful for what you DO have."
