Hello, I'm Mark McGrath. You may remember me from my band Sugar Ray. In the late nineties we were a marginally talented, grossly successful band, who sold our souls for the techni-coloured music videos and tasteless pablum of songs that made us millions! Thankfully for my *crazy* spiked hair and wacky tattoos, our music is often labelled rock or even punk, although our music actually has the merit of flavourless gelatin, or at best - Brooke Hogan.
One day I decided it was all too much pressure having any standards to live up to, so I decided to exonerate myself of any inkling of credibility I may once have had, by getting a cushy gig on the critically acclaimed investigative news production, Extra! on which I prod Janet Jackson for secrets on her love life with Jermaine Dupri and speculate on WHY Kirstie got so damn fat, all while flashing my irresistable and patented, simian smirk. Extra, Extra!
When I found the life of a hard-hitting journalist just wasn't supplying me with the fulfillment and satisfaction every artist must have in order to wake up in the morning and buy his fifth Ford Durango, I thought I'd team up with the pride of Timmons, Ontario - Country Music Icon Shania Twain (formerly known as Eilenne: the best waitress the Golden Griddle off the I-406 ever saw) in our groundbreaking duet "Party For Two".
