Challenge #100!
First of all, I want to thank you, my icon makers.
Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for making this community what it is. Each and every one of you, airlocked or current members of this very tiny fleet have produced so many gorgeous and amazing 100x100 pixel (and bigger!) artworks over the course of the last 4 years. There are more popular comms, there are bigger comms, but I definitely think we're one of the best. I love you so much for trying as hard as you can to make the most gorgeous icons you can, and for not settling for sloppy halfassed last minute shit. We had a rough patch when I though it was about to close shop, but since we've come back stronger than ever and You're all to be congratulated for being so awesome and patient with me despite me going Tigh on your asses. I also wanna give a very special thanks to our most active participants over the last 4 years; xmaidelx, greyfable, ctofine, mouthfullofdust, smercy and spud66cat. You guys rock my fucking socks. Never stop producing icons. Ever.
In writing moment, we have 42 members. And we have almost four times that in watchers.
Thanks also to you, for paying attention, and for voting.
And here we are now, our One Hundredth challenge..
And before you ask - the awards from the 50th is still in a box in my closet and I promise I will frakking get it to you winners, I PROMISE. I'm just strapped for cash right now so I can't afford the postage. But as soon as I do, it's coming. Same goes for the awards for this challenge - they're fewer since I've taken them from my own Battlestar collection instead of buying them on eBay, but they're still cool! Since they're so few, from my own collection and we have even more categories this year, I will not make a lottery from them, but I will decide the top three icons overall (which is gonna be a biiiiiitch if I know you guys right) and those three people will get the awards. I wanna say that I tried my best to get some cheap actual real honest to gods BSG props from the Propworx auctions for this challenge but all ran away too expensive so.. sorry about that. You know I'd buy you all a raptor each if I could afford it.

In 2007, we had 16 categories. This time, we have THIRTY (30)!
Categories
Just like I did in our 50th challenge, I want to urge you to interpret "best" and "worst" NOT as what you think the majority of the voters will like best, but YOUR PERSONAL OPINION. I.e, for Best Scene, don't icon Adama Getting Shoot By Boomer just cause you think it's a certain win. Icon YOUR personal favorite scene and make the best of it. The voters will be urged to vote for the best quality icon, the icon with most heart and hard work behind it, so this means that in this example, an amazing icon of Kara shooting at the firing range could very well beat out a mediocre icon of Six leading Gaius to the Opera House. Please pick YOUR personal favorite in all categories and give them all you got!
A lot of you are on the airlock list and need to enter this challenge to stay in the comm, but I really wanna urge each and everyone of you to enter this challenge. It will be open for a month. You may enter all 30 icons or none - no making just 5 of the categories! You will also not post the icons openly to the comm as usual; post them to this post only (comments are screened), and all 30 in one post (please write which icon is to which category). Voting will be screened as well, so the winners will be surprised! You are allowed to make a post and then edit it as you go along making the icons. Everyone had such a great time with this challenge at our 50th and I'm sure you will this time too! Give it 110%! Also, of course absolutely no posting the icons elsewhere until the voting is done. If you do and one becomes super popular, everybody knows it yours. Not fair.
Also, remember: ANYTHING GOES.

Animated, still, whatever. No bigger than 100x100 though.
DEADLINE: FRIDAY NIGHT AUG 21ST, 9pm CET.
All posts not containing 30 icons at that point will be deleted.
I'm also looking for at least 2 people to help me tally votes to make sure there is not a mistake done - last time xeyra & I counted in total 2400 votes from 150 people.
