In Nottingham we ... spent a lot of money on interestingly-flavoured alcohol and Party Rings; christenend Carolyn's new car 'Gino'; got picked up (literally) by random men in the filth pit that is Isis; stayed in bed all day watching 'Harry Potter' and 'Black Books'; had a picnic in Sherwood Forest; showed off our dance and gymnastic 'skills'; risked our lives walking a mile and a half along the road to Edwinstone; queued for Ocean but didn't go in; accidentally adopted a cat; danced in a field with Terie; listened to Pendulum and Girls Aloud constantly and posed for an awful lot of photographs.
Good things in the North East have included ... 'Potted Potter' at the Customs House; playing 'Twilight Princess' on my brother's Wii; happy hour meal time with Kat and Heidi; getting overly excited at the prospect of the next NUTS musical being 'Little Shop of Horrors'; drinking champagne and watching Led Zeppelin DVDs; setting off smoke alarms by putting sparklers in banana splits; driving to Durham at midnight; 'Ruby Moon' at Northern Stage; Alnwick with my parents; Arcane, and the day after which was a grim affair, consisting mainly of drifting in and out of consciousness all day, before dragging ourselves to a fairly nice restaurant in Chinatown at 11.30 p.m.; agreeing to move in with Tilly; having deeply philosophical conversations about absolute bollocks and appreciating the sweet sounds of Dire Straits.
All these events have been wonderful and would be good scenes in the film of my life.
