So, aside from the fact that there are clearly not enough hours in the day to catch up on all the work I didn't do this term, life is peachy keen jelly bean. I even got to watch Eurovision with a gaggle of girlies, proper old-skool stylee. Once again, Rachel and I got excited at the prospect of the UK actually doing quite well ("Would you like something to suck on for landing, sir?") only to be brought crashing down to earth when faced with all that politics. Ah well.
The ball on Sunday was absolutely brilliant, even though 'Return to the Forbidden Planet' did not pick up one single oscar, haha. One highlight of the evening was Charlie's suit.
Oh yes, that's Charlie. Everybody else was very respectably dressed. Although I did have a hip flask of vodka in the top of my stockings which flew out across the dancefloor when Gav spun me round, haha. Whoops. Then after all the food / champagne / wine / awards / dancing / after party, we made it home and stayed up talking 'till well after sunrise. He bought me a red rose. I am so in love.
Last night we went to see part one of 'Angels in America'. I don't even have the words to describe how good it was - I've never been so overwhelmed by anything in my life. The second part is tonight and I simply cannot wait. Ed Beresford ('Mr President' to us theatre society types) is the student ambassador for Northern Stage, so he got us incredibly cheap tickets; eight hours of theatre for £5. You can't really go wrong.
