Charlene didn't try to kill her crewmen, really, it was just an unfortunate side effect of them generally acting like idiots who had never seen a deuterium injector before. She knew that they had mostly had the same education as she had, and therefore had to know exactly what a deuterium injector was, and how it worked. Therefore, when forced to explain again, she felt the need to accompany that knowledge with some sort of blunt force. To make sure it stayed. God, hopefully they weren't all going to sickbay and complaining. Only Crewman Ra'el had been actively bleeding, and Charlene hadn't really meant to burn him with that soldering iron. That had been a mistake. Completely.

While Charlene's usual stress relieving routine involved her up a jeffries tube with a wrench, she figured she'd save herself the probable head injuries and go and exercise. Sound carried in the jeffries tubes, and she really didn't want anyone to hear her being as angsty as she got. Because she was positive people were talking about her. She didn't know what exactly what they were saying, but it didn't sound pleasant. And thus, the need to pound on something. At least in the gym, she could masquerade it as a workout.

After a quick change into some questionably clean cutoff sweat pants and an old t-shirt that Bobby gave her before their estrangement that said "Engineers Do It Dirty", not even bothering to clean a big smear of grease off her face and neck, Charlene headed for the gym, praying that someone from what she was starting to think of as the inner sanctum of bridge personnel was there. She got the feeling that none of them were loving on her too hard, and she really wanted to avoid any confrontation. That would only increase her need to hit things.

But to her surprise and pleasure, she saw Spock at one end of the gym running. Charlene grinned widely, internally chastising herself for being such a girl. It hadn't even been that long since she'd seen him last. She wrinkled her nose at herself. Being aware of how long it's been-way to act like a teenager with a crush, you idiot. She kept actively reminding herself that there was a lot of fucked up shit wrapped up in all this, but seemed to be failing.

"Whatever," she said under her breath, momentarily giving up. She jogged up to him, smiling a little mirthfully at how he looked slightly ridiculous in work out clothing. "Hey, sexy. Nice pants," she said in greeting, chuckling lightly.
