Summary: In August of 2013, a rift opens in the Pacific Ocean, South of Guam. From it spawn monstrous creatures of another world given the name Kaiju. Over years and miles upon miles of destruction, the Jaeger Program is born. Robot suits of near equal size and immense power are built to combat the kaiju threat. In those suits reside two pilots, mind-linked and simultaneously in control. They are humanity's last hope. They are driven by courage, love, and most of all, the desire to protect their fellow man.
