But when a new weapons dealer takes a shot at Pike to force Starfleet into a shady corporate agreement, Jim throws himself into the fray.
Meanwhile, Jim and Spock can't reconcile their careers with their attraction for each other. They seek comfort in Nyota and Bones, separately, but violence and tragedy push all of four of them together. Nyota and Bones slap some sense into their partners along the way.
Set mostly in San Francisco and Gault (farming planet). Brief violence. Lots of flying cars.
