A very short wishlist
- An acquaintance who, when I breathlessly announce, "There was a P.G. Wodehouse novel adapted into a Fred Astaire musical that had George Burns and Gracie Allen in the comic supporting roles!!!", will become equally breathless in turn.
(The movie was A Damsel in Distress, based on the novel of the same name. It was Astaire's first movie without Ginger Rogers at RKO after a string of Astaire/Rogers musicals. The female lead was an actress who /could not dance/. They cast an actress who /could not dance/ in the female lead instead of /Ruby Keeler/. It was a huge flop and I desperately want to see it.)
