Christmas in translation town

Nov 17, 2008 17:58

Recently, as most of the internet has probably noted, the powerful force of internerds released a translation patch for Mother 3, the long-unavailable outside of Japan sequel to Earthbound. And the internet saw that it was good.

More recently, a different group of internerds released a translation patch for Person 2: Innocent Sin, the long-unavailable outside of Japan prequel to Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (long-unavailable in North America, except for a few brief minutes on Amazon last week).

I've been playing it - currently clocked in about twelve hours - and finding it very engaging, which is good right now. It's always nice to intimidate demons through allusions of homosexuality.

And I love any game that lets me kill things with a musical instrument (especially if that thing ends up being Hitler).
