Bad videogame, no cookie

Except, of course, that Odin Sphere can make it's own damn cookies, all of which are more delicious and beautiful than my own.

Preparing to send the cast into Armageddon has me going back through the characters individually, checking out their inventory, maybe feeding them a bit, all sensible things, especially the inventory bit, since, if you play Odin Sphere like I do, all your useful potions get used up on the boss and you probably didn't have a whole lot of extra potions kicking around.

I wouldn't mind doing a bit more squirrel sharpening to prepare for the final chapter.

But.

I thought, when Matt told me I could go back to the books somewhere around Mercedes, that going back to the book would be like having, you know, super post game bonus ability to revisit all the previous areas, with a home base with access to the Pooka Village (or in the Pooka Village) and a merchant who actually sells all the items. Not having to /play through/ all the chapters /all over again/, including boss fights (thankfully minus tutorials). This is not exactly an ideal way to offer squirrel sharpening, Odin Sphere Team, and if there is a way to circumvent it, I sure would like to hear it. Especially for poor, underlevelled Gwendolyn, who could really use, you know, access to the Pooka Village /and/ an area with decent quality item and money drops.

Unrelated to Videogame I Am Almost Done No Really, I had bubble tea for the first time today (my life vis a vis food is an unexciting one - further proved when I point out that I did not seek out bubble tea, but rather was given it by my employer). It was the iced kind - strawberry or perhaps watermelon flavoured? It was pink and delicious, but I find myself unsettled by the little chewy spheres at the bottom. I'm not sure I approve of a drink with multiple textures, and since they don't really taste of anything, I think I'm failing to see the point. I am told you can have bubble tea without the chewy globs - I think I would approve of that.

I will probably have an extremely short story to post tomorrow. It involves the word 'hockey' at least a dozen times.
