2. Today it snowed, and I was able to spend that snowy time wrapped in a bathrobe, drinking tea, and later, sitting in the bath, reading The Queen of Attolia.

3. My landlady brought by a spare key for the main doors I asked for. She also brought by a Christmas present.

dude, i just want you to know that i was really trying to find i day where everyone could come- and what with jobs and people doing stuff out of province, i just assumed that as long as someone gave you a ride into town that you'd be able to make it. i totally forgot about hogmenay being on new years. you're not crappy or unfun. you like *good* movies and tv shows. and some of my best conversations have been with you. 'course, i suck at conversations, so maybe i'm a crappy judge, but i don't care.

in conclusion: i really do wish you could be here for table christmas, but i'm glad you'll be spending hogmenay with your family. even if your family includes guthrie. so when you're done with your exam, come over and you can open your present and have tea and perhaps you'd like to look at the comics dice and i bought on saturday. one of them is about ninjas in hawaii.

maybe we could set up the computer monitor and camera in the dining room like we did when jenn was in korea?

ok, i haven't started reading "ninja high school hawaii" yet, but it's vol. 2 and the first chapter in the book is called "gadzooks! magic spells gone wild!". the "story so far" blurb mentions a blind samuri/ninja that wants to kill the main character for unknown reasons, volcano hijinx, thor jr, and the daughter of loki whose totem form is a goth angel plush toy. also, apparently she's fought space aliens, time travelers, combat cheerleaders and battle chefs.
