[Seen canoeing through the lake will be the best friends stargathering and startraveling. The latter's the one doing most of the rowing since Tyr seems to be preparing his fishing gear. Ted stops momentarily to look at his best friend with a grin.]

So, Tyr, do you think this is a good spot?

[ He looks over the side of the canoe, seeing a few fish swimming below the surface of the water. ]

Yeah, this is a great spot.

[startraveling]

Alright, I'll stop here. [He follows Tyr's gaze too.] Do you think you'll be able to catch anything now?

[stargathering]

[ Hah, Ted... Tyr jokingly leans against the side of the canoe, rocking it and tilting it slightly. ] Yeah, just let me get my aim down.

[startraveling]

[At the rocking, Ted flails a bit.] H- Hey, Tyr! Don't rock it too much-!

[stargathering]

[ Oh, is he tilting to the other side now? ] Hey, there's no worry if we can both swim, right?

[startraveling]

[Why such a huge kid, Tyr? He'll try to balance the boat now.] I thought you wanna go fishing.

[stargathering]

You don't think I can catch one with my hands? I'm hurt.

[startraveling]

[This is the part where he smiles.] Oh, so you wanna catch fish that way instead, huh? Why didn't you say so? That sounds more exciting!

[stargathering]

[ Ohohoho. ] Make sure you don't tip the boat.

[ Tyr rolls up his sleeves. He's not so concerned with his scars there now. ]

Don't worry. I'll make sure I won't. [He's not that fat, is he?]

[startraveling]

[Upon seeing those scars, though--] Tyr, what happened to those?

[stargathering]

[ Ah-- ]

...They're scars. Old ones.

[ Did he mention the war before? He's not sure... ]

[startraveling]

[He doesn't remember either. All Ted remembers is camp camp camp.] I see... Well, as long as they're properly healed now... [He's still worried, though.]

[stargathering]

Come on, you have scars of your own. It's not a big deal. [ Excuses, but he's pretty sure they're at least decent ones. ]

[startraveling]

I know, I know... I was just worried. [Because that's what best friends do.] Anyway, the fishes are already waiting for your expert hands, Tyr. Better not let them stay that long.

[stargathering]

[ Rather than encourage Ted's worries (he could do that later), Tyr gives Ted a look. ] Quiet! You're going to let them in on the plan...
